cubical relief

This site is dedicated to a dark skinned white boy, also known as my brother, who has more style than I ever will.

I'd Poo in His Shoe

When I was a kid and my mom caught me using foul language, she would say sarcastically, "Where did you learn that? School?" If she asked me that today, I would say that I learned my curse words from my new cubical neighbor.

This morning he started out by talking on the phone and saying things like, "I'd poo in her shoe." By the end of the day, he was all warmed up. He’d shout out an F this and an F that every 30 minutes or so. Then, he would be apologetic and say, "Sorry! I excuse my French." Don’t get me wrong. I’m not perfect. I cuss, but I would never talk loudly like this at work. You never know who is listening or who will walk by.

Sir, you are the reason that I will buy a Walkman with headphones this weekend unless my brother decides to give me his I-Pod. I'll send you the bill.

Cubical Grief

Forget about cubical relief, I am suffering from cubical grief! I moved into a new cube in a new building. Forget about my old cube with a window... Now I have new little pets called black bugs that like to fly around and bite Rakhi's ankles.

Happy Birthday Bradley!

Bradley turned 7 today! I remember when he turned 2. Time sure does go fast when you're having fun!

Name the Pup

We are going to get a Golden Retriever puppy in the next month or so. The puppy should be born any day. I have a different name for the dog each week. My names this week are Doggie Dangerfield (Danger) and Miss Honey B (Honey). Matt thinks that my names are ridiculous, but I don't care. It's not like his chosen name is great. His pick is Adrienne if it's a girl, or Adrian if it's a boy. When I tell people that, they start talking like they are Rocky and say, "Yo Adrienne!"... Then, I have to explain that the dog would be named after Adrian Peterson from the Oklahoma Sooners. The Sooners are Matt's obsession. We are coming down to the wire, so if you have any good dog names (boy or girl), please post them in my comments.

A Day in the Life of a 1st Grader

Brad had this note in his backpack:

I am sorry for pushing you when you were using the bathroom and for making you pee on your shirt. From: xxxxx

What a crappy day.

Happy Easter

This Easter, like all of the other Easters, Bradley was with his mother. I asked him the other day what he was going to do on Easter. He replied, "I don't know.... Probably have an Easter egg hunt or something." Then, I asked, "Who hides the eggs?" I was curious as to what he was going to say. He paused for a moment, then said, "I don't know. My mom.... or maybe the Easter bunny." "What does the Easter bunny look like?", I asked. He then said, "I think he is a seven foot rabbit that is white. He has a big polka dot bow tie, polka dot shoes, and big floppy ears." Below is a picture of what he thinks he looks like. When I asked Bradley where his arms were, he said, "Uh, I forgot." Oh well.

The Red Portfolio

is perfect. In fact, it's my favorite blog. I've never met this girl before, but my brother has. So I guess, she isn't a complete stranger. Check it out for yourself. She's fabulous. http://theredportfolio.blogspot.com

Baby Hog

Today we went over to Tracy's so that Bradley could see Baby Tyler (Tracy and Todd's new baby). It was 80 something degrees in the house, and all Bradley wanted to do was hold the baby. I was getting hot just looking at him. Bradley looked at me and said, "Didn't you know that I'm a baby hog?" No, actually I didn't.

My Grill

It has been a little over a month since my back surgery in which my doctor removed the hardware from my back and performed a spinal fusion investigation. During the first couple of weeks after the surgery, I thought that I had been cured. I thought that the shooting pain that went down my leg was gone forever. I was also drugged up on some fine pain medication and hadn’t bathed daily. I think that may have blurred my thoughts a bit.

Well today I am back to where I was before my surgery. The shooting pain is back, and I’m probably going to have another surgery. I do have good news. The doctor did make my back scar look a whole lot prettier, and I got to keep my hardware as a souvenir. It’s pictured below. I’m thinking about getting it melted down and made into a grill like Flavor Flav. Then, I'd be bout it bout it.

Fort Bradley

This is the fort that Aunt Jamie (hee hee) built for Bradley.

Before MySpace....

There was Blogger, and before I got addicted to MySpace, I was all about the blogging. I have to admit that since October, when I was trapped in my house for 3+ months, I became a hardcore MySpacer. I have found so many old friends from the past that it has become addicting. Plus, it's kinda like a high school reunion on the Internet. You get to see people from long ago in the comfort of your own home. I recently found my first boyfriend from sixth grade which was quite interesting..... Anyway my brother, who is anti-MySpace and a Blogaholic, recently started a blog of his own. I decided to check out my old blog, and I've missed it. I think that I am going to have to make a come back. By the way, my brother's blog
is http://andersonbrown.blogspot.com/. He is sharing this one with his friend Ben.
